Day 15: Marine Biology Oscars
Today we had our annual Family and Friends BBQ at the HIMB Beach House, where the students prepared and hosted a feast for their guests. Dr. Ku’ulei Rodgers started the BBQ by highlighting what the students have experienced thus far in the course including field problems, coral spawning, learning and experiencing different field methods, a fresh water kill, brown water alert and exciting lectures from the HIMB and UH community.
After dinner, we presented the Marine Biology Oscars in which the students nominated their fellow colleagues for 12 prestigious awards. The results are as follows. Thank you for all the guest who came to support and check out what the Biol 403 students have been up to. Stay tuned for more adventures in our final 2 weeks of the course.
Cheers,
Keisha
