Getting ready….

Welcome to our Biology 403 class blog. My name is Anuschka Faucci and I am a Marine Biologist working for the Biology Department at UH as an education specialist and instructor. I’ll be helping with this course taught by Cindy Hunter and Lisa Wedding and am responsible for the organisation and coordination.

Yesterday we had our informational meeting at Dean Hall on the UH campus. After some administrational business, we sent the students back home and got some last things ready for tomorrows’ start of the course. Madison, one of our TAs this year, helped me to get food for the students  for the first week from Costco. We then brought everything over to HIMB on Coconut Island. I attached a few pictures so you can see how that was like: fill up a car and a truck, drive over to Kaneohe, transport it over to the boston whaler to get over to Coconut Island, then into an old van and into the houses the students will reside in for the duration of the course.

Mo, the other TA, helped me this morning to get the last material over to the dorms and classroom.
